Respectful Giving

Had a good weekend. Better than expected. It was tiring because of the long journeys and some of the conversations we had, but as Kuldip said on Sunday afternoon, ‘Every minute has been filled’.

Karaj told me to become more aware of the lies people tell themselves, because that’s what happened at the weekend and it’s tiring.

I recall a beautiful observation made by Kuldip in Edingburgh. We walked past a homeless man whose cap lay in front of his seated frame. I dropped in some money. As we walked on Kuldip said to me, ‘Don’t drop the money into his cap. Bend down [to his level] and put it in.’

I thought this was such a respectful piece of advice and one which I will never forget.
