Positive Feedback

I woke up and dragged myself out of bed at 7am to go for a walk. I’m glad I did (I was motivated more by the need for discipline than anything else) because the weather was gorgeous and, at that time of the morning, the park was very peaceful.

I returned home to find a letter from Francis. It’s his best yet – more clear and open than any of his previous ones – and I loved reading it. It brought tears to my eyes with his assessment of my progress, providing me with hard evidence from a reliable and respected source:

It’s great to read that your are doing so well and long may it continue. You made some tough decisions in life to allow yourself the chance to establish who you are and where you would like to go. Whilst you are not totally unrecognisable from the Jonny of 1997, the change is nevertheless very significant and all for the better.
