Fears versus Facts

This morning I realised that my biggest fear is to be left to cope on my own.

My past has been littered with painful injuries, most notably my back problems, which have guaranteed my dependency on other people and meant I have never had to stand fully on my own two feet.

The last few months have taught me, however, that being left alone is nothing to worry about. The facts are: it’s enjoyable and I’m good at it. I’m doing a fantastic job of taking care of myself.
